elBenbo’s “slow-burn” list building plan

A rare glimpse into Yours Pokey’s ever-evolving business model:

One of the things I am always striving to do is plan my business out 2-3 years in advance. For example, back in 2015 I wanted 2016 to be about doing more speaking than usual (which I did for everyone from AWAI, to Real Dose, and MLM Blueprint... to AWAI again, to Brian Kurtz's Masterclass, and an event I did in Portland along with another I did with Kevin Rogers) and writing the last 4 Enoch Wars novels -- which I banged out in 4 months. Then, 2017 was 100% about editing and publishing those Enoch Wars novels. And the next year, 2018, and first half of this year, was for creating, launching, and finding back end offers, plus writing their corresponding sales letters.

And this year?

So far your pal & not-so-humble daily muse has:

* Launched 8 new products — with a 9th and 10th on deck, plus my upcoming Anti-Affiliate program, which I decided to put on ice until after everything is launched

* Assembled multiple more affiliate offers (emails and Email Players inserts)

* Created a crap load of bonus content I’ve used both for projects this year, and some which will be used next year

* Started dabbling with offering paid ads in “Email Players”, which involves a lot of assisting the advertisers to make sure they have the best chance of success

* Planned out some very high ticket ventures I am keeping under wraps for now

* Last month wrote the first draft of another “bonus novel” of linked short stories for my “Enoch Wars” series and assembling everything under an “Omega Edition” — all 7 novels, the bonus novel, and assorted appendixes

* Begun the comicbook scripting stage for all 7 current novels

Next up?

Ramping up my list-building efforts.

The reason why I waited that long to begin the list building phase is because I wanted all the foundational products above in place, first. Plus, moving to elBenbo’s Bluff set part of my list-building game back a few months since I didn’t have high speed internet for over 3 months (running my business from my phone’s wi-fi hot spot with reduced, almost dial-up speed at times… fun...) But, now that I’m back at full bore internet, I will be more aggressively doing the list-building methods — all free, and that have nothing to do with paid advertising, can't be "de-platformed" by the converged big tech companies willing to lose millions of sales just for a virtue signal, and are not at the flakey whims of Facebook, Twitter, Google, Apple, etc.

Enter my new “Email Players List Swell” book.

It’s made up of primarily the 3 “Email Players” issues I’ve written just on the subject (April 2016, February 2019, and March 2019 issues — which will never be available as back issues even if I do decide to offer back issues again some day to Email Players subscribers), plus every article I’ve written on the subject in various other “Email Players” issues over the past 8 years since 2011, along with any bonus trainings included in many issues with various traffic experts.

It’s how I created what I believe is one of the most responsive lists in my industry.

However, the methods are mostly slow, tedious, and require lots of grunt work.

Plus, there is nothing at-all “new” about any of the info.

Frankly, I did not even intend to create this book, and only decided to fairly recently because people, for reasons beyond my ken, kept asking me about list-building even though what I teach is so slow and long-game centered, and not fast and “scalable.”
