Let’s talk about The Joker.
If you want to learn how to be truly charismatic and influential then study the Joker you should.
But first, some context...
I’m not saying to be a psychopath. Or bleach your skin. Or kill mass quantities of people for kicks. But, there is something that makes the Joker perhaps the most well-known (and most feared — by both heroes and other Villains alike) Villain in the world. An “attribute” that, if you apply it to your business, will not only make your bad self more charismatic and influential... but also put more dough in your bank account, attract more high class clients/customers into your life, and keep your competitors constantly on the defense, fearing your next move, always struggling to keep up with you.
What attribute do I speak of?
Impact.
A Villain who understands the power of having *impact* in every word he says, every story he tells, and every move he makes, is a Villain who never has to worry about money, success, access, opportunity, fame, or anything else he desires.
What do I mean by “impact”, exactly?
Well, let’s analyze how the Joker does it.
If any Villain has mastered the ability to have indifference-crushing impact, it’s him. No matter what incarnation of the Joker you study (movies, animated shows, comic books, etc) the one thing The Joker has the ability to do more than anyone else (including Batman) is making everything he does unforgettably impactful.
Love him, hate him, or leave him:
You never forget the Joker or anything he says or does.
He never bores you.
There is no indifference - your true arch enemy.
And, everything he says or does sticks in your mind.
This kind of impact creates fear in his enemies, loyalty in his henchmen, and makes him supremely charismatic and influential - even to those who are scared, repulsed, or amused by him.
