The touch of a master

“The touch of a master is like the weight of a mountain”
Meaning:
In Kung Fu it's astounding how much power even a small, frail, or out of shape master has. And it immediately made me think of probably the single oldest persuasion technique ever invented that works even for the proverbial small, frail, or out of shape newbie who have never written a word of copy in their lives. A technique anyone — of any writing, marketing, or selling skill level — can do.
But at the same time, can take a lifetime to truly master.
The technique?
Demonstration.
Yes, my fine feathered little fledgling, demonstration is the ultimate copywriting technique in at least two ways:
(1) the customer can see and/or experience what you are selling works
(2) the customer believes they are capable of using it
This second one is especially important.
I remember reading in an old Gary Halbert newsletter issue where he said a lot of people don’t buy from you not because they don’t believe the product you are selling works, but because they don’t believe THEY are skilled enough or smart enough use it.
Thus, the “touch of a master” power of demonstration.
It can eliminate both objections in one swoop.
It can also many times eliminate the need for a sales letter at all!
Of course, demonstration can take many forms.
And while there is no way I can possibly do each and every one of them justice in an email like this, the November “Email Players” issue lists 9 ways I’ve used — and continue to use — over and over and over. Including multiple ways we use to sell our Learnistic mobile app service… ways I have use used in some of my highest-selling sales letters… ways used by extremely successful doctors… and even a way used by a certain felon who brilliantly used demonstration to sell millions of copies of a completely fraudulent book he sold.
Yes, demonstration works whether the offer is legit or not.
Which is why it is so often used by conmen, incidentally.
Whatever the case, the deadline to get the November issue is almost upon you.
