Enraged Florida businessman declares war on California?

Something that happened a few weeks ago:

My bid’niz partner in Learnistic Troy Broussard ranted at me for a good 5 minutes straight about something the Republic of California tried to do to him to nebulously prove non-existent "nexus" with the state, that now makes me question the judgement of anyone with a business so much as flying over California at 15,000 feet in the air… much less wanting to have a single affiliate or even hire a VA from that state — no matter how good they are at what they do.

Anyway, my advice to Troy was:

“Tell your story in an email and send it out tomorrow. People not only need to hear it, but it’s just dayem good email theater, and you may find someone can offer you a solution to your problem.”

And so he did, figuratively declaring war on California.

And from what I can tell, that was probably one of the most responsive & engaged emails he has ever written.

I know this because:

1. I saw the number of new opt-ins the email got Learnistic (which it plugged)

2. I saw the sheer number of replies he got, including from someone who might be able to show him how to get the Federal government to pay what California is trying to extort from him

All this even though his email was not “about” what he was offering.

Even though he spent very little time plugging what he was offering.

And even though it was a super long email that offended lots of people on his list — I can only assume a lot of them were Californians who didn’t like what he had to say — going by the number of opt-outs it got.

Opt-outs, in this case, that benefit him, in multiple ways.

Anyway, here is why I bring this up:

I told Troy right after I saw his email that it’d do well.

And I knew it’d do well because he was — without realizing it — tapping into the exact same kind of email I teach about — without me ever having taught it to him — in the upcoming September “Email Players” issue.

He didn’t do it exactly as I teach, though.

If he had, I daresay his response would have possibly been double.

But, even doing it half right, he got tremendous results.

All right then, this is it.

I am sending the September “Email Players” issue teaching this secret way of writing insanely responsive emails (with 4 examples to see what it looks like, including Troy's email above) to the printer in a few. After that, it’ll be too late to get this issue.

That means if you want in on this, procrastination ain’t your friend.
