The Flakeocalypse is nigh

The topic of the first call:
The surge in flaky business people during the worst depression in U.S. history.
We’ve noticed it across the board.
From small local restaurants & handyman services… to attorneys & insurance agents… to bookkeepers & accountants… to web developers & programmers… to mail & shipping services (even normally super-reliable FedEx is dropping the ball right now)… to, yes, direct marketers & online businesses. During these times you’d think businesses would ratchet things up, would triple down on customer service, and would stop being such complete & utter flakes.
But it’s the exact opposite.
I was telling Troy it's miracle these flakes can even dress & feed themselves.
We see it all the time.
And I'm guessing we ain't the only ones.
All of which is why I have been telling my own customers there are only two things one has to do right now to not only survive, but prosper immensely, now and especially in the very near future.
And those two things are:
1. Simply don’t be a flake
2. Build stronger relationships with your lists & audiences
This probably won’t be as apparent in the here & now. Currently, a lot of people & businesses alike are doing quite well between unemployment insurance and government checks coming in. In some cases, especially if you sell in certain consumer niches, your unemployed customers may even be doing better financially than when they had a job.
But if that is true that won’t last.
Soon the money will dry up.
Credit will tighten even more.
And the moratoriums on evictions, etc will be lifted.
At that point the real fun will begin for all these businesses who have been doubling down on being flakes, ignoring their email lists, and taking their audiences for granted.
Anyway, as far as not being a flake, I can’t help with that.
You either are or you aren’t a flake.
There is no 10-point “how to not be a flake” PDF to download that'll help you.
But as for the second thing about building stronger relationships with your email list… that is something the September “Email Players” issue can help with in ways you cannot even begin to imagine if you use the info correctly. And no matter how bad things get, building a strong relationship with your list can carry you through.
It’s the ultimate “equalizer” in business.
Example?
Not long ago “Email Players” subscriber & BJJ coach Nick A, who said:
“Appreciate all you do. Implementing your teachings over the last 2 years helped keep my gym and online business financial stable in uncertain times.”
A lot of gyms went belly up due to Captain Covid.
But not all of them.
Especially those with super tight relationships.
Which, incidentally, the kind of emails I teach in the September issue can help build.
But only for those subscribed in time to get it.
