Live stream queen reveals how to profit from flakey social media sites

Published: Mon, 05/11/20

A while back, Stefania forwarded me an email from a list she forgot she was on… from a livestream queen & coach, that is one of the best examples of social media brain fog I’ve ever done seen.

Here’s what happened:

Her emails started off talking about how she lost contact with her 60+ thousand combined Instagram and Facebook followers, and how it was psychological torture being ignored on social media. It had something to do with those sites going down temporarily. And she couldn’t sell, deliver a scheduled live stream, reply to comments or DM’s, or do any of her routine business activities because of those sites’ outages.

She then spent the rest of the email talking about how:

1. It’s dangerous to put all your marketing efforts into Facebook & Instagram (which is true)

2. Building an email list is just a bunch of BS due to low open rates (even though she was telling this story in, yes, an email…)

3. The REAL solution is… platform diversification, and specifically using Pintrest

Apparently, the way to deal with the flakiness of social media platforms you can’t control is using another flakey social media platform you can’t control.

Amusing stuff.

But, also useful, too.

Especially since she wasn’t wrong about the problems of relying on social media, or any other one media. And while social media can have its place, it is clearly unwise to heavily rely on it instead of focusing on using platforms you can at least export into a list — so you don’t lose it all your data with a shrieking, cancel-culture complaint or platform-wide glitch.

One platform you can do that with is obviously email.

Another?

A business mobile app.

Specifically, a mobile app you can connect to your other marketing, so that when people follow you via your app, you can put them on an email list you can backup.

There are all kinds of other reasons to this.

And we list another 15 of them over at our new Learnistic mobile app site.

We are also launching this mobile app service this week, that is designed to let coaches, info-marketers, freelancers, podcasters, digital subscription publishers, professional services, and other solo entrepreneurs run your business from the palm of your hand via your mobile phone.

Here is how it works:

1. This week (until Friday May 15th or possibly earlier depending on demand) you can get a free test drive of it — after which the site will be closed down for a while to “iron out” any lingering bugs & glitches, etc

2. Use it, brand it, add content to it, show it to your clients & colleagues if you want… and see if it “clicks” for you — with no credit card needed, and zero obligation

3. If you decide to subscribe during your test drive, and if you do it before Sunday May 31 at midnight EDT… you can have it for $99/month instead of the $150/month it will cost right after that. Plus you will be “grandfathered” in for life at that price forever — including when we add our own email broadcasting/autoresponder platform and other expensive features later this year… after which the price will balloon to over $200+/month over time

Bottom line:

If’n you want to try it free, I highly recommend you do it today.

I’ve learned the hard way already launching software ain’t like info products.

By that I mean, you don’t want thousands of people piling in right away. That only makes for a lot of frustrated & unhappy customers. It’s much better to grow slowly and roll out over time. Thus, the Friday deadline to get your free test drive may get abruptly shortened without warning. And, even people who get in for the test drive may not be able to buy for a while if you linger too long to make a decision once inside. And of course if that happens where we close it early due to demand… and you wait too long to buy it after taking your test drive, you will miss out on the above savings.

We shalt see how it goes.

Really, it all depends on the demand.

So if this interests you at all, I would not procrastinate on getting your test drive, if I were you.
