How to attract low class jackass clients & customers

A response from one of my freelancer customers I sold a classified ad in my daily emails to last month:

Tbh, I subscribed to a few of the other guys who advertised, and no offence to them but it felt like I was on a second Ben Settle list? And I already have a Ben Settle to read. My daily emails are legit different to yours.

I noticed the same thing when I looked at some of my customers’ sites.

And while I suppose that can work on low paying clients & customers looking for someone who writes copy the way I do but not willing to pay for it, it’s also certainly not ideal for the long haul. It’s almost as bad as the gaggle of fluffpreneurs on social media I have been told about advertising themselves as “I'm NOT Ben Settle!” Then going into how they don’t mail daily, don’t sell every day, don't do whatever it is I do that works across the board for anyone with even a modicum of real world marketing experience.

I have no idea why anyone would advertise as a second hand version of someone else.

Or, worse, as not being someone else.

Maybe they watched too many 7 UP or old Apple TV ads, and missed the context.

Don’t make no sense.

Whatever the case:

If you want to learn the purely writing side of copywriting, the June “Email Players” issue can show you how — and in a way where you won’t sound like a second hand Ben Settle or anyone else, you will sound like an original you.

If’n that interests you, here’s the link to subscribe in time to get it:
