The secret of the $100 tee shirt

Published: Wed, 03/04/20

Once upon a time, I decided to have Email Players tee shirts made.

But, not just any ol’ tee shirts.

I wanted mine to stand out like a sneeze in a library from all the other marketers sending out free tee shirts as swag I’d been receiving at the time, from people trying to get me to be an affiliate or get my attention or for whatever reason I was getting tee shirts from everyone for.

It was a weird trend at the time.

But it can sometimes be very profitable to tap into such trends.

And instead of giving my Email Players tee shirts away for free or as swag or making it easy to get one of them… I decided to make mine expensive. The way I saw it, I’ve worked hard to build the Email Players brand. I was not going to cheapen it by making it easy to bear by just anyone. Fact is, shirts sent free or that are cheap or that are easily acquired are not treated with the same respect a high ticket shirt is treated with. Someone who pays a premium is far less likely to leave it at the bottom of a stinky hamper, get bleach stains on it, use it as a rag, lose it in a pile of other shirts, or stick it on the back of a one night stand making the walk of shame.

Thus what became the official:

"$100 Email Players tee shirt."

I only sold it to Email Players subscribers.

And I only sold it for a very limited time.

Thus, the few souls who possess this tee shirt now truly have a rare, and valuable piece of apparel, especially if I never get around to selling them again.

Anyway, there are two reasons why I bring this up:

1. A lesson in how to add value, prestige, and intrigue to your offers

2. The sales letter that sold the $100 tee shirt — selling a $100 tee shirt nobody needs or asked for ain’t exactly easy — is one of the many ads stuffed inside the 88-page Email Players Swipe File: Volume 1 I am giving to people who buy the 2 eBook “Stop Being Poor” offer from my evil affiliate link below, and send me your receipt before Friday’s (3/6) midnight EST deadline.

But, let me be crystal clear about this:

You must send me your receipt by tomorrow’s (Friday, 3/6) midnight EST deadline to get this swipe file, even if you buy the 2 eBook bundle before that deadline. If you send me your receipt after the deadline, well, thank you for the sale, but you won’t be getting the bonus.
