Bowman hits the sales mark like Robinhood

“Email Players” subscriber Jassen Bowman who sells in the tax niche shows how it’s done:

I've been an EP subscriber for almost two years. Your insights on running an info marketing biz are actually the most valuable thing to me -- not the copywriting and daily email stuff. The inside baseball on your own biz that you've been sharing with EP readers this year has been particularly insightful. Readers that missed many of the unmentioned lessons in your promotion schedule, revenue by product, and other deep insights need to re-read those issues.

Anyway, I have finally embraced the elBenbo ways in my emails. I have found the proper level of snark for connecting with my extremely conservative audience (accountants). I finally no longer concern myself with unsubscribe rates. I am finally following a Settle-style promo cycle. I probably teach way more in my emails than elBenbo would approve of, but doing so works for me. Plus, these emails make amazing blog posts and SEO fodder, which is important for me.

Bottom line: On my first truly EP-ish promo three weeks ago, I brought in $9800 in pre-orders on a book that's not yet written. Last week, over $2700 in sales on a course that's just been sitting on the shelf for years. This week, already a grand in new revenue from yet another course that was sitting on the shelf. I have enough course content and material "in the vault" to do this weekly for nearly a year.

This stuff works. Go figure.

Not too shabby at all.

And, just the beginning.

Of course, his business’s results are not going to necessarily happen for everyone, lest any contemptible new product junkie is excited by this email.

But, it does serve as an example of what is possible.

The January “Email Players” issue deadline is in less than 24 hours.
