Why the nutty politicians are the only ones worth watching

I’m far from being the Tony Robbins fanboy most of my business colleagues are.

But the guy was dead-on bawls accurate when he said:

“We aren’t in an information age, we are in an entertainment age.”

To illustrate, you need look no further than the great master of getting free publicity himself — Mr. Paul Hartunian. He got himself tens of millions of dollars in free publicity that made himself millions of dollars in book & product sales in the process.

His big “secret”?

He knew and taught what many people are just now figuring out:

We live in a celebrity & entertainment-obsessed society.

And, thus, the best way to stand out in it as a business is to:

1. Make yourself a celebrity

2. Be more entertaining than the other guy

This is even more true today with social media.

Everyone is on Flakebook and Twitter and Instagram hopping up and down like dorks, raising their hand, crying “Oooh! Oooh! Listen to me! Listen to meeeeee! See how witty and profound and philosophical I am!!!”

Bah!

Horse shyt.

They are going about it all wrong.

They'd be better served taking inspiration from a Trump or an AOC — who may be nutty, but are the only ones worth watching as they masterfully use infotainment to stand out from the bleating herd of social media nerds, and without even having to spend all their time “engaging” one-on-one with anyone.

But, here’s the problem:

Infotainment is not something that comes naturally to most.

And, if it does, those are the last people to learn it from.

Naturals rarely know how to teach what they do, because they are naturals, and never had to figure it out or think through it. That’s why, with rare exceptions... the best people to learn anything marketing-related from are often those who did have to figure it out, take their lumps, and systemize their methodologies.

Enter my popular “Infotainment Jackpot” book that is on sale today.

I consider infotainment to be the single most valuable persuasion skill I possess.

And, I’ve spent the past 13 years learning it, using it, experimenting with it, testing it, and always trying to perfect it — having used it successfully in niches big and small, serious and not-as-serious — to the tune of multi-millions in sales collectively amongst my own business & client work back in the day.

It’s why there are a bunch of (foolish) Ben Settle wannabe clones, who regularly get called out by my Email Players subscribers.

Why there are so many people mindlessly copying my so-called ‘style’ of writing without even knowing why.

And, it's also partly why $400+ million Agora Financial flew me in at their expense, plus paid me $5k to teach this skill to a group of their writers and editors.

I share the transcript of that talk in the book.

And, include nearly everything I’ve taught on the subject in “Email Players” over the years, too, since then.

Plus, it has over 80 pages of exhibits and examples.

Infotainment is a learnable skill.

You can't copy or swipe it without looking like a hack, though, you have to learn it.

The sale ends tomorrow Friday 8/13 at midnight EDT.

Until then, my hearty Horde can have it at a thick $100.00 discount off the regular price.
