How amateurs brand their businesses
Published: Fri, 07/23/21
Specifically, it was about the foolishness of some bloke on Twitter at the time who, to try to stand out from the pack of other flies on the social media turd, started branding himself as being “not Ben Settle.”
i.e., branding himself as not another brand.
A sometimes profitable short-term maneuver.
Especially when selling to the bottom-of-the-barrel types.
But, it’s blatantly stupid & foolishly amateur in the long term.
Especially since it is inherently reactive instead of proactive, and simply builds the brand of whoever someone declares themselves as “not being” instead of their own.
To prove what I say is true, behold this reply from reader Lora Amy Bright who said:

I joined your list because of an email by a guy who said you're fading and your identity politics are the worst.
He talked about you so much I assumed you were the original genius (OG?).

Immoral of the story?
I suspect it is obvious…
What else may be obvious is, the sale on my Brand Barbarian book is ending tonight (7/23) at midnight EDT. If you grab your copy of this expensive book before the deadline you can get it at the special launch 30% discount.
Here’s the noble link:

P.S. If you are interested in buying this, please read the sales letter very carefully before pulling the trigger. Especially the P.S. about the "overlapping" info.
Don’t just click, add to cart, and purchase blindly on impulse.
Especially since, more than any other product I sell, this book is not intended for most — or even very many — people in my Horde, for reasons that will be obvious when you finish reading the sales letter.
