The King of Egypt’s dead-as-a-doornail brand

Published: Thu, 07/22/21

A cautionary tale for the social media-obsessed ages:

One of the greatest ad men who ever lived was one Mr. Bruce Barton. And once upon a time, ol’ BB (who is the second “B” in the great BBDO ad agency) gave a radio address where he told the story about Biblical patriarch Joseph, when he was second in command (only to Pharaoh himself) in Egypt.

What happened was this:

Joseph was “it.”

The head guy in charge.

Only the king himself was above him.

And, everyone knew who Joseph was, submitted to him, and basically treated him like royalty — knowing about him far & wide. A true “rock star” — using today’s goo-roo fanboy vernacular — through and through.

Nobody dared cross him.

Every single citizen knew of him and loved him.

And, there was peace…

Then, Joseph croaked and joined the choir invisible.

And, according to the great book of Exodus:

“Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.”

And then BAM!

Just like that… all that prestige, respect, and his world-recognized brand vanished like a fart in the wind. And, not long after that, Joseph’s entire extended family was enslaved, too.

That’s how fleeting a brand can be.

Anyway, something to think about.

And here’s something else to think about:

My Brand Barbarian book is designed to prevent just such a brand “dethroning” in whatever niche, industry, market, product category you are in, using whatever your favorite media of choice (email, social media, video, content, whatever you use) is.

That is, if you are one of the few people it is intended for.

Most businesses, frankly, will not be able to use all the info inside due to lack of ambition or discipline.

Whatever the case, it is on sale this week.

And, it’s 30% off until tomorrow, Friday July 23 at midnight EDT.

P.S. If you are interested in buying this, please read the sales letter very carefully before pulling the trigger. Especially the P.S. about the "overlapping" info.

Don’t just click, add to cart, and purchase blindly on impulse.

Especially since, more than any other product I sell, this book is not intended for most — or even very many — people in my Horde, for reasons that will be obvious when you finish reading the sales letter.
