The Kraken of cucked business owners

Specifically, a guy who needed his wife’s permission to make a business decision.
And how one of our (former) clients did not like the word “cucked.”
To which we shot out another email riffing on that to make some more sales.
It is an email I think everyone should read.
Thus, here it is, reprinted for your reading pleasure:

Back when I was soliciting investors for some of my software ventures, and the cucked business owner I mentioned did his “I need to ask my wife” thing, I moved on to other things.
But I still wanted to do business with the cucked business owner.
In many ways, I respected (and still do) his business chops.
And he is brilliant at what he does.
Yet, as I found out later, beyond the cucked-ness, there was another problem lurking under the surface like a giant kraken wanting to sink my ship.
A kraken with many tentacles.
A kraken with many ways to draw out pain and suffering.
A kraken that your usually discerning C’App’n had no idea existed.
The kraken I am speaking of is a complete and utter contrast in the ways our personalities, thinking, and decision-making works. In other words, for all my brashness and irritation, it was no more his “fault” than it was mine.
We simply think differently.
And that knowledge changed the entire game for me.
After that, I instantly started making much better business decisions.
People I’d have normally jumped into business with got rejected, while other people I’d normally have avoided suddenly became extremely attractive business partners, employees, team members, and JV prospects.
The difference was literally night & day.
And it’s effected everything about how I approach business:
* How I talk to my customers
* How I teach content
* How I pick & choose employees and JV partners and investors
* How I write emails (like this — yes, I am using what I learned “on you”, right now)
* How I negotiate everything in life from million dollar business deals to getting my own kids to listen to me!
All because of this knowledge I gained above.
Knowledge you, too, can gain as well.

It’s purely rational, logical, and, yes, scientific.
Zero “woo” and all true.
