How to “launder” your email list to make it so responsive it startles you

A little something I call:
“Email List Laundering”
Like a money launderer cleans his ill-gotten gains both literally in a washing machine and also figuratively by circulating it as fast as possible into other holdings… I “laundered” my email subscribers through my old elBenbo’s Lair Facebook group in a similar — but completely legally & ethically — way. And the result was turning what was already an extremely responsive & engaged email list into what I believe is one of the — if not the #1 — most responsive email lists in my niche.
Not the biggest list, by any means.
Just the most responsive.
At least going by testimonials from various JV partners.
Like, for example:
The great Brian Kurtz. He’s the former Executive Vice President of a $100+ million direct response company who helped build a 9 million name database from which he oversaw 1.5 billion pieces of mail… while curating, testing, and mailing thousands of lists. (i.e., he knows a responsive list when he sees one). And he said calling my list a mere “list” does it a disservice due to how many times it has out-sold his other affiliates with 10 times more name recognition, and with lists 10 times the size of mine.
Another example is the great A-list copywriter Parris Lampropoulos.
A few years ago he did a $297 donation drive for his cousin.
And I mailed my list just one time — and this was after doing several affiliate campaigns just prior — and he told me at the time, “We’ve got like 67 donations from your peeps already. Getting close to our target goal and I haven’t even officially launched the sucker yet. I don’t know how big your list is, but I’m guessing you have a ridiculously high open rate and click-through.
Another example is yet another A-list copywriter Kim Krause Schwalm.
I’ve done many JVs with her.
And she said:
“Ben has cultivated a list that is amazingly responsive and loyal to his leadership and recommendations…As an added bonus, Ben will not only sell a lot of your product, he’ll raise your profile, too. Working with Ben is great for your personal brand as well as your bottom line!”
Another example is cold email guy Jon Buchan.
I’ve mailed his offer 3 times over the last 3 years.
He said:
“The JV that Charm Offensive did with with Ben Settle was our biggest by many orders of magnitude – and we've pitched our stuff to some sizable audiences. I won't lie, watching the payment notifications come in so frequently, just one after another after another, from the moment the first email went out was quite shocking – but of course, enjoyable. Of course, the offer we chose always converts well – but we've never seen a response like the one from Ben's list. He has built something remarkable and impressive.”
And then there’s Michael Senoff.
I’ve done God-only-knows how many deals with him since 2004.
He said:
“Partnering with Ben Settle has been both a privilege and goldmine for my business. The buyer response from his subscriber list is unbelievable. And, each year we partner, the sales from his subscribers go higher and higher.”
And the list goes on.
You could ask anyone I’ve mailed for — Troy Broussard, Ryan Levesque, Danny Iny, Vance Morris, Ken McCarthy, etc — and, without me trying to warn them in advance, I suspect they’d tell you they were not just happy with, but probably even outright startled by the response my list got compared to most of their other JV partners & affiliates.
In fact, back in 2015 I mailed for Ken just to my podcast list at the time.
And he was so astounded by the response ($28 per click) he wanted to license the emails for his other affiliates.
Unfortunately, the emails were too tied to “me” and so not usable by anyone else.
But that does give you an idea of my list’s responsiveness.
The reasons for its responsiveness are many.
Like the bonuses I select.
Or the aggressive number of emails I send with tight deadlines.
Or the content of the emails that look, feel, and read very differently than everyone else’s.
I even have an entire book just on how I built my list called List Swell.
But even that book doesn’t tell the whole story.
Specifically, this part of the story:
I have traced a huge bulk of my list’s response power to this Email List Laundering phenomenon I mentioned earlier in this email. And while it’s a laughably simple method — that for some reason nobody uses or has deliberately methodized to my knowledge — the quality of buyer can be truly mind-boggling.
As can be the quality of the relationship you have with those buyers.
And when I say laughably simple, that ain’t just rhetoric.
The entire shtick is taught on just 2 pages up in my new Social Lair book.
(On pages 37 & 38.)
And assuming your offers are high quality, and assuming you have an email list to launder… I believe the buyers you can potentially get as a result of running “List Laundering Game” on them could very well become almost hyper-loyal to you, hyper-grateful to you, and hyper-eager to do more business with you again like my JV partners are with me.
Okay, enough of this teasing & titillating.
Here’s the deal on the book this week:
