A gripping thriller about social media

Published: Sun, 04/18/21

Back in January “Email Players” subscriber Vance Morris did a series of calls teaching his Disnified superior service methods.

The attendees had all ponied up nearly $2k to be on the calls.

(I was the affiliate for it.)

And shortly after that call, I shot a bunch of swag (Email Players mug & hat, etc) along with a direct mail letter to those buyers saying if they took a pic of themselves with the hat and mug I just sent them, and if they posted it on social media, along with my URL and mentioning my new Social Lair book (which launches tomorrow) I’d send them a valuable gift:

An autographed copy of Social Lair.

Anyway, one of those customers read the book upon arrival.

And, he sent me this:

Thank you for your continued generosity with the release of Social Lair. I stayed up until 2:00 am reading the first day I got it, and finished it the next morning. It literally is a page turner akin to reading a gripping thriller. I kept asking myself "What is he going to do next." followed by "I can't believe he did that!"

Like everything else you produce, this book is not something you can read only once and absorb everything. You've put on an advanced clinic of how to use social media and leverage the psychology of our crazy minds to create a group of berserkers. Most people (me included), will need Social Lair in order to create anything close to ElBenbo's Lair.

Thanks,

Mike Peterson

Something else to think about:

This book is already looking to be the biggest book launch I've ever done. At least, going by the nearly 100 copies (and it ain’t exactly a cheap book — even at the discount they got it’s quite pricey) that have been bought just by Email Players subscribers so far, from the sales letter for it that went out with the April issue.

Why does this matter to you?

It probably shouldn't matter to you.

That is, unless you think you will want to buy it this week.

If that is the case, realize when I order books from the printer I usually grossly underestimate demand on my offers, even when I am super optimistic about how well my launches and special sales will go. That means the printer is always having to scramble to print up and get books out the door by the end of my launches and campaigns. And while I ordered what I think is twice as many copies as I’ll need this time… the fact this is a hard cover book (that has to be outsourced to another company by my printer) means it takes up to a month to get new stock in.

All of which means this:

Procrastination ain’t your friend as it is.

But after reading this email, anyone who wants the book but foolishly puts off ordering until the last day — or, worse, the last hour — of the sale is not an innocent victim.

They are a willing victim.

With nobody to blame but themselves for the extra long wait.

All right, no link to buy from today.

You’ll be getting links a-plenty tomorrow through Friday.

Rest up…
