Why certain abusive & downright evil quacks get showered with praise and money

His name is Dr. Larry Nassar.
He was the USA Gymnastics national team doctor.
He was also an osteopathic physician at Michigan State University, too.
And, he is a guy who molested dozens of former patients (two under the age of 13, and as young as 6) — at his office and gym, and sometimes with their parents standing by while it was going on, completely oblivious.
Anyway, it was a gruesome and evil thing.
Not just the acts, though.
But, also, that so many parents blindly trusted him, put their skepticism aside, and even celebrated his skill, probably considering him a “genius!”, “brilliant!”, and so on.
And here’s the thing:
There’s a reason why quacks - even monster quacks - get away with this.
It’s the same reason why pretty much all doctors (good, bad, talented, amateur, saintly or outright evil) are treated with this kind of reverence. And I’m not talking about the Medical School prestige, awards, good grades, doctor title, irrational confidence, social proof, flashy car, trophy wife, or any of the obvious suspects on why this happens.
I’m talking about something far more persuasive.
Something any freelance copywriter can do to get similar prestige and trust from clients, too.
With no needing to be evil required.
It’s also something that works even if you’re brand new at copywriting.
It’s the same thing monsters like Nassar do, as well as certain for-real and highly ethical (non-monster) medical professionals do that gets them all called “life saving!” and “brilliant!” and “the best!” by their patients, and has those patients paying them whatever fee they ask, with no resistance, delay, or “thinking it over.”
