Getting rid of the insidious “feast or famine” part of freelancing

Published: Tue, 04/27/21

There’s been no shortage of freelancers & coaches and other service providers in my hearty horde lamenting about the whole “feast or famine” nature of the game.

For example:

At any given time, they have no clients coming in for weeks or months and panic.

Then, suddenly, they might get a rush of clients, and feel they have to heroically work 24/7 and take them all on at once or lose out, because they need the money.

Note the evil word “need.”

Yes, it’s a neediness type of thing, my Pet.

So they take on low class clients they shouldn't, or they end up screwing up the fulfillment of their services on the high class clients because they're overloaded and know famine time eventually comes, where they won't have any clients at all. In a lot of cases they may need to have at least 10 clients to make the bills every month, and this month things are really weak and the referrals are low. So now they've only got three or four clients and they're struggling. This constantly being in “feast or famine mode” is extremely common in all kinds of service-based businesses, not just freelancing.

The solution?

That is what the May “Email Players” issue is all about.

Not just getting clients, but getting high class clients.

And while the info is quite manipulative, it ain’t evil or unethical.

A lot of it has been used by everyone from A-list movie stars to world famous comicbook creators who did business in such a way where work chased them, instead of them chasing work. Where they made the terms, not the companies who hired them. And where their names, brands, and products are, to this day, household names, which only further perpetuates the new business.

You ain’t gonna learn how to do this by haunting Facebook or Twitter all day.

You gotta go a lot deeper into human psychology.

And that’s what I teach in the May issue.

Plus, a lot of it can be applied to sell any kind of offer, not just freelancing.

The deadline to subscribe before the deadline is almost upon you.
