Little-known, brutally sadistic client manipulation tactics

Published: Mon, 04/26/21

This email's subject line is a “parody swipe” of one of my old self-defense ad headlines.

Inspired by two things:

1. I was recently reminded of a tango niche ad one of my old mastermind pals John Anghelache once told me about many years ago, where it was obvious the copywriter who wrote the tango ad was doing an awkward swipe job from one of John Carlton’s delightfully brutal self-defense ads by writing bullet point copy like:

“vicious head turns!”

… or something like that.

Yes, in an ad talking about tango.

2. We had a lot of discussions about clients back in those days.

And the upcoming May “Email Players” issue is about just that.

Specifically, helping service providers, coaches, freelancers, & others who sell/cater to clients get all the gigs you can stand, get paid more, and have a whole lot more fun. All while using methods that, while 100% ethical, are also probably quite manipulative in their wiles.

And if you’re like me and don’t do client work, fret not.

Everything in the May issue can be applied to selling any kind of offer.

Just like last month’s issue (about 6th Generation Marketing Warfare) did.

In fact, 6G Marketing Warfare is embedded throughout it.

All right, let’s get down to business:

The deadline to get the May issue is in a few days.
