2.6 million followers and nothing to show for it except these lousy 36 t-shirts

Couple months ago, reader Rob Bright forwarded me an email by Lawrence Bernstein that was astoundingly ironic and quite amusing to boot.

The subject:

About a social media “influencer” with some 2.6 million followers who could only sell a scant 36 t-shirts.

The lesson is probably obvious to most:

2.6 million social media followers who don’t buy is virtually worthless.

Something I’ll be teaching how to change very soon in my new Social Lair book, incidentally.

The launch for that is right around the corner.

Until then, something else to think about:

Another irony about the above situation is you don’t need 2.6 million followers to sell more of your offers than you need for your daily bowl of grits. All you really need — in my opinion, at least — is the knowledge I teach in chapter 8 of my 3rd Villains book “Villainous Weapons of Persuasion.” It's something you can see Apollo Creed do in the Rocky movies that was also used by celebrity inventors (like Thomas Edison), entertainers (like Frank Sinatra), actors (like Steve McQueen), artists (like Pablo Picasso), and even great comic book writers (like Stan Lee) to get whatever they wanted.

It’s also something anyone with patience, ambition, and intelligence can do.

And, yes, it can help you sell more than 36 lousy t-shirts...
