Why more businesses need to be ruthlessly shamed
Published: Thu, 02/25/21
The faster & the more ruthless the better.
Case in point:
In late 2020 I was looking for a charity to donate a tidy 5-figure donation to.
I had a list of places I was looking at, and not a single one of them had even an email contact much less an email list. Instead, they all were predictably & foolishly ONLY on Facebook. And, since I don’t do Facebook, I had to try to hunt down the info I needed as far as how to donate, where to donate, are they a tax deductible deduction or not and if so what their tax ID is, and so on, and so forth.
Thus, it was gonna be time consuming.
But I had my fingers in multiple project pies at the time.
(Writing my upcoming Social Lair book, as well as its sales letter & launch emails, not to mention yet another sales letter & product about creating subscription businesses I’ll be telling you more about next week… building & designing our upcoming social media platform for businesses, and other software as a service projects we got cooking up in the kitchen...)
And so time was not exactly on my side.
Luckily, I didn’t have to do any of the above research.
Because someone who runs a charity I’ve supported in the past many times did send me an email asking for help with a very simple & convenient method (a mere PayPal link) way to do so.
Guess who got the monies?
Point of all this is, I was looking to spend.
And I bought from an email with a simple way to do that spending.
It’s astounding how many businesses leave money on the table because they don’t send emails to their list on a daily basis that ask for people to buy their offers.
A more recent example is “Email Players” subscriber Gabe Arnold.
He literally just subscribed last month.
And he has already reported:

Hey Ben,
Thanks so much for your consistent delivery of the truth and for practicing what you preach.
(Imagine that! Lol so many teach and do not do)
Your email Skema book was an excellent reminder and schooling in getting back to basics.
Years ago I used to email my list daily.
For some ignorant reason or excuse I got out of the habit.
I think it was because it was so much work doing email the hard way.
When I read the book, the crib notes, and the first newsletter I got in February I was not only inspired but educated properly on what I should be doing with my daily email list.
Only 10 daily emails in and I have a sales call scheduled to close a high end coaching deal which will pay me at least $20,000 a year.
And the silly part is it was money left on the table until now. They’ve been a client paying for a low dollar subscription until now. In the email they said they were ready to sign up for coaching so I know it’s a done deal.
Not bad for the investment I made with you.
It’s truly only takes me 15-20 minutes a day to write now.
So if my math holds up, for about two weeks of work per year, I can make $520,000 minimum just from my lil baby list.
Adding that revenue and profit onto my rapidly growing seven figure agency is icing on the cake.
And... I’m getting LOTS of clicks and engagement too.
That simple “trick” of the naked URL is super effective.
Thanks for being awesome dude.

And so it goes.
Whether or not you want to email or not is your business.
And if you do, I can’t make you any guarantees — even if using my methods.
But, what I can tell you is this:
If you aren’t mailing your list, chances are your competition is. And the people who are on both your lists who have money to spend, and who are looking to spend it on an offer like yours and your competitions’, are going to choose them over you if for no other reason than they are sending emails and you aren’t.
Sermon of Shame over.
If you want to see how I do email then spank that URL below.
Do it before the looming deadline and you'll get the March issue.
An issue, it just so happens, is all about list-building.
After all:
If you don’t have a list, who are you going to mail?
