World’s greatest living copywriter dismissed by non-profit crony

“A great chapter of copywriting lore!”
What did the email say?
It was about the world’s greatest living copywriter & “Email Players” subscriber Gary Bencivenga offering to help a non-profit some years ago. Gary was on the fundraising committee and the chairwoman/agency director of marketing handed out her list of upcoming projects, asking who would like to sign up for what. When Gary looked at the list, he noticed they needed help with the annual fundraising appeal and knew he could write a sales letter that was better than the usual, boring letter they usually mailed out.
So naturally, Gary volunteered to write the sales letter.
With a patronizing smile, she dismissed the world’s greatest living copywriter.
And she did it by telling him:
“Everybody wants to be a copywriter.”
You can’t make this stuff up.
It also illustrates a common trope in the freelance copywriting game:
It can often be a harder “sales” job writing the back & forth emails and texts to a client to persuade them to do what you know works and is proven to work and that you have experience in making work… vs what some client’s committee, team, spouse, or English major nephew thinks works, has no proof it works, and has no experience making it work.
Personally, I prefer being my own client.
That way I get to keep all the money & my sanity.
Whatever the case:
If you know how to combine both your copywriting skills with a proven formula for building 6-, 7-, and even 8-figure info publishing empires, being your own client is not nearly as complicated or rough as it might sound to the hapless copywriter writhing around stuck to the fly paper up in the client-copywriter trap.
Hence the offer I’ve been shilling all weekend:
Ken McCarthy’s prestigious “Advanced Copywriting For Serious Info Marketers” course.
Yes, it’s expensive & not at-all “sexy.”
It also has none of the “hacks” or sales choke-holds amateurs love chasing.
Instead, it’s the raw fundamentals used & mastered by all of history’s top copywriters, mixed with Ken’s decades of experience writing copy & building his own info publishing empires. It also comes with a gigantic discount for my Horde only, until tonight Sunday, 2/21 at midnight EST. Plus, if you use my affiliate link below you get two extremely valuable (unadvertised — not listed on the sales page) bonuses you can’t get anywhere else:
1. “Crypto Marketing Secrets”
This is the entire 30-issue run of my old “Crypto Marketing Newsletter” in a book.
This print newsletter ran from early 2010 through mid 2012.
It is also not for sale anywhere else, and less than a few hundred people — give or take — on the planet even possess it at all.
NOTE: This is NOT a book about crypto currency.
But it is a *physical* book that will be shipped to you at my expense.
Retail value: $810.00 (30-issue run, each issue costed $27)
2. Access to Ken’s upcoming:
"End of the World Seminar"
This private zoom call (dates & time TBA) will reveal the multi-billion dollar copywriting lessons you can witness in “real time” from the two bit celebrity-created conman currently orchestrating the greatest fraud in world history.
A lot of what this fraud is doing is pure copywriting.
And, in a lot of ways, he’s the best “copywriter” who probably ever lived.
Ken has a lot to say about this.
And, while I have no idea about exactly what he’s going to say, I know it’ll be fascinating for anyone interested in the art, craft, and science of creating business empires using the information inside Ken’s course.
Both bonuses are yours when you buy with my affiliate link by the deadline.

NOTE: if you order the virtual version of it, put your shipping address where it says:

That way I can send you the Crypto Marketing Secrets book.

P.S. Something else about this course:
I recently heard an interview Ken was doing with an already pro copywriter at a $100 million
dollar a year+ direct response publisher saying how he beat a control by 700% (yes 700%)
by following the advice in just one of the modules.
P.P.S. Another thing to think about:
Ken doesn’t just teach this stuff, he does it.
Most recently, for a fundraiser whose copy he wrote.
The result:
(As he recently told a few close friends he told about it)
“Last year's fundraiser: $68,000. This year received so far: $370,000.”
The only change?
The sales letter using Ken’s wily ways.
