Why nobody wants to buy from you

“Stop being needy"
Nothing will kill your sales faster than being needy.
Needy people are some of the most repulsive people on the planet. Think of every needy person you know. Do you want to buy from them? Give them your vote? Date them? Grant them whatever they beg you for?
Of course not.
Neediness is a repellent.
Yet, most emails and sales copy are full of the vile, sales-killing stuff.
One obvious example is whenever someone says:
“You NEED to buy my xyz product!”
No.
It’s not that you need to buy their dorky product. It’s that they need you to buy it.
And, people sense it, and reject it.
More fun news:
The vast majority of people in bid’niz are needy.
And, maybe, so are you.
(Without even realizing it)
To know for sure, here are some neediness tells:
* Telling people they “need” to buy what you offer in your marketing and copy.
* Talk a lot when trying to persuade someone to do what you want. (An idea, a plan, or even getting a date with a dame.)
* Asking people to spend time with you, instead of inviting them to spend time with you (Subtle, but big, difference).
* Constantly checking your phone when waiting for a reply. (Whether it be from a chick, a would-be client, tonight’s plans with friends, someone you’re selling a house to, anything.)
* Afraid of not being liked or invited to parties (IE fear of missing out).
* Complain about people not making time for you.
* Get butt-hurt and emotional when someone tells you “no” or blocks/unfriends you on flakebook.
* Always available, no matter what.
* Show respect to people who don’t respect you back.
* Have trouble saying “no” to people.
* Apologize all the time. (Especially when you didn’t do anything wrong.)
* Steal other peoples' work and pass it off as your own.
* Not giving credit where credit's due for fear people won't think you're as smart or talented as you claim to be. (Rampant online and in the copywriting niche, especially.)
* And the list goes on...
If you are guilty of doing any of the above then you are needy. And, will never make the sales you *could* make, or make any sales at all.
That’s the bad news.
The good news?
It’s simple to stop your vile, needy ways.
