The secret of my unrespectable online business
Published: Sat, 11/18/17
It was a good read.
But, my mortal soul screamed out as if tormented by hellfire at this part:
===
“I have trouble understanding people whose only goal in life is to make money and work less. If you want to do it, fine — but it’s not why I’m on this planet.”
===
Followed by a screen shot of a tweet he wrote saying:
“Guys, my fucking goal in life is not to take a vacation. It’s to make an impact.”
Why did this torment me so?
Because it means he probably won’t be lining up to get my “10-Minute Workday” program (on sale today at a $1,000 discount), which shows writers (and especially copywriters) how to build a clientless-copywriting business where you wake up, send an email, and are then done with your day, so you can do whatever you want after.
What kinds of things?
That depends entirely on you.
But, not everyone wants to die at the desk working and impacting.
(I know I certainly don’t)
For example:
In the past 30 days, I’ve spent all the time freed up by only needing to work just minutes per day (sending an email, sometimes two) working on finishing my 7th (and last) “Enoch Wars” novel. And building other back end products that’ll be for sale next year. And working on a business in the golf niche I’m partnering in. And walking my dog on the beach. And enjoying some fine wine sent to me by a customer with my dad and step-mom and dame while watching the new “Curb Your Enthusiasm” episodes. And flying around the country to visit people in the Southwest, Midwest, and Northeast. And binge watching “Game of Thrones”… and being interviewed for various podcasts and online summits. And recording episodes of my own podcast with Producer Jonathan.
And so on and so forth, yada, yada, yada…
Now, some of the above is “work.”
Some of it is play.
And, some of it is just passion stuff.
But, the one thing they all have in common is, I don’t have to do them, I want to do them. And, I get to choose because I very carefully and methodically built a simple “client-less copywriting business” where I only write for my own products, on my own deadlines & terms, and at my own pleasure.
Other than writing an email or two each day, I don’t have to do much else.
(A few little administrative tasks notwithstanding.)
Purely unrespectable to some.
But, it suits my fancy just fine.
What about you?
Is this something you want to learn how to do? If so, then you *might* be a good candidate for my 10-Minute Workday program published by AWAI.
Or, maybe not.
For one, it takes work.
Maybe even a lot of work, depending on what you want to do. If hard work and the idea of it not happening overnight (it can take months to build this kind of business) depresses you, then save your money. There is no shortage of eBooks, coaches, and seminars that will all but promise you how to turn your computer in an ATM machine by next Thursday.
And two, it’s expensive.
Oh, and there’s no guarantee, either.
All right, enough damaging admissions.
