The South Park of marketers

i.e. The Evil Bald Genius.
If you don’t know Jon, he’s basically the “South Park” of marketers.
Nobody is left unscathed in a room when he talks. Just like South Park will manage to pizz off, offend, or enrage anyone who watches it (nobody is safe)… Jon does the same.
And no:
It’s not an act for him like it is for a lot of people online, it’s just how he is.
Anyway, here's why I bring this up:
He and I have known each other for at least 10 years. And over all that time I can’t think of a single thing he and I teach about copywriting, marketing, etc that isn’t identical. Even the principles vs tactics stuff is something we teach identically and we’ve never even discussed it before (he noticed it when reading the January Email Players issue about Jim Camp).
There are few people I’d pay to learn under these days.
And, Jon is one of them.
(Which is why I subscribe to his print newsletter.)
Another such person is the great Dan Kennedy.
And, even though I am way late to this party, Jon was telling me about a two day event he’s doing with Dan Kennedy in March in the booty of the earth -- Cleveland Ohio (if it ain't the booty, it's within farting distance of it). An event I have a fat affiliate link below for where, if you buy from it, any of my commissions go directly to charity. I don't really care about getting paid, as much as I think a lot of people on my list could benefit from it. In fact, if I wasn’t such a plum about traveling to events these days (I only go if I am speaking or training — such is my disdain for travel and leaving my dog) I’d be going to this.
More:
There’s a big discount if you get your tickets in the next 14 hours or so.
(Of the time of this writing — again, I am late to this game.)
And, like I said:
I am telling Jon to pay my commissions to my favorite charity directly.
(The Innocence Project — they get innocent people accused of murder, rape, etc exonerated.)
So, there you go.
If you like Dan Kennedy, he’s winding down for retirement soon.
So, there’s that, too.
