A while back the lovely and esteemed (and, frankly, brilliant) A-list copywriter Kim Krause Schwalm started a Facebook group at least partly in reaction to my elBenbo’s Lair group.
Why?
Something about my group having too much testosterone in it.
And, she believes the dames who follow elBenbo’s wiles need a "safe place."
(She is correct, they probably do...)
But, that said, elBenbo’s Lair voyeur Tanya Smith-Lorenz writes:
“I recently joined Elbenbo’s Lair - a place of dark irreverence and uncommonly good wisdom on all things copywriting. At first glance the tsunami of testosterone might appear overwhelming for the female of the species. I’d encourage you to look beyond that, and even use those insights to fuel your writing. Cautionary notices : Petals who are easily bruised need not apply. Exposure to the Lair is highly likely to lead to an involuntary desire to get Email Players. You have been warned.”
How can I not approve of that testimonial?
This is her making me a cyber sammich — complete with a crisp tomato and all the fixin’s.
Something else I've noticed:
This group has rabidly loyal people inside. I think some of them even hang out in there sometimes every night and all night, posting in their sleep.

All the other groups prattle on about value this, and inspiration that.
Screw 'em.
We do snowflake abuse and bottom-of-the-barrel analysis of the human condition.
Anyway, membership is free to elBenbo’s Lair Facebook group.
But, don’t even bother if:
1. You don’t have a real picture on your profile
2. You belong to a whole bunch of other groups
3. You are a troll, spammer, or social media drama queen/king who wants to spread your feelz around
