Words of wisdom from a drunken carnival clown

A few shrieks and sharts aside…

Since announcing I was putting my free podcast inside a paid membership site last week, lots ‘o good questions have come in I want to address publicly.

Here are a few:

“Is this already included
for Email Players subscribers like myself,
or is this an add-on thing?”

No, it’s a totally different animal than “Email Players”.

Not only is it not in the same ball park as "Email Players", it’s not even the same sport.

There will be very little overlap (if any) unless I happen to start riffing on something about email. Even when the podcast was free, only a small handful of shows were “about” email because that’s what “Email Players” is for.

elBenbo’s Apprentice is not Email Players “lite.”

It’s way more broad in scope and not at all specialized -- just like the podcast was.

It’s the kind of info I taught my ex-copywriting apprentice that took her from zero contacts in the industry, zero online selling experience, zero copywriting chops, and zero direct response marketing knowledge to seeing success pretty quickly.

(Quicker than most people I know online.)

Obviously, email was a *part* of that.

But, it was much smaller part than you may think.

After all, email does not build a business and create sales out of thin air on its own, it multiplies *current* sales for targeted offers being sent to receptive leads -- something the opportunity-minded, ninja trick-worshiping, bright shiny object-chasing blokes never grasp no matter how many times I tell them. This is why if you are an “Email Players” subscriber already, elBenbo’s Apprentice (for what literally amounts to less than the cost of a cup of plain black coffee each day) ratchet up your sales even more and help you build your business far faster and more solidly.

More:

The new podcast is the exact same type of content we put out on the free podcast. If you liked the free podcast you’ll like version 2.0, if you didn't, then you probably won't like it any more than you did before.

But, it's not just a podcast anymore.

We’re including some other goodies along with it.

Including a monthly call-in day (you can call in live with any questions you want), access to a private Facebook mastermind and accountability group with contests, prizes, and challenges designed to get you implementing (what Misty the announcer babe already does with the free fb group now, and we'll be killing that free one off) and also a monthly interview with an A-list copywriter/marketer, too.

And when I say “A-list” I ain't just whistlin' dixie.

These are not the usual crop of goo-roos who publicly count their money on flakebook all day (while secretly can't pay their bills) and can’t form a sentence without saying “crushing it” or “ninja” and knighting themselves rock stars.

These people we're getting are the people I "virtual apprentice" under.

(By studying their products, their lives, their ads, etc.)

And, I'm cashing in favors just to get some of these people onboard.

So far, we’ve already got several A-list copywriters lined up.

We’ve also got some A-list marketers lined up.

And, we’ve even got an A-list direct response graphic designer for all the big mailing houses lined up -- who has designed controls packages and other pieces for Clayton Makepeace, Gary Bencivenga, and even Oprah Winfrey. (If you think design isn’t mucho important, think again — I remember hearing the great Gary Bencivenga give the *design* of his controls a lot of the credit for their success).

Plus, we even got a 1960's “Mad Man” era ad man lined up.

(A guy who gets credit — or blame — for creating brands anyone over 35 years old grew up with.)

I was telling Producer Jonathan these interviews could be a product on their own.

The value in the first few *alone* he's recorded are extremely valuable.

On to the next question:

“Will it still be possible to listen
using the favourite Podcasting app
or will this be a closed thing where you have to download each episode manually?
My question is really:
Will the paid service be clunkier?”

It will still be available via streaming or via download.

The only difference is the distribution we use.

(It won’t be iTunes, Stitcher, etc.)

Finally, we got the obligatory troll comment:

(This one sent to Ben Settle Show announcer chick Misty)

“BABE MISTY....Great.....now what ur rating go down....
this will be funny....but IM sure ur
NEVER REALEASE UR REAL numbers”

He sounds kinda like a drunken carnival clown.

And, a bit high strung to boot.

(Or maybe he was just high.)

What’s amusing is, one of the many reasons I’m doing this is precisely *because* I have no desire to chase rankings, beg for reviews, or obsess over downloads. I have no desire to court sponsors, either (prefer to sell my own products). And, my wicked ways of selling online with my email methods have worked for every other kind of product I’ve sold, so I don’t see why this would be any different.

We shalt see.

In the meantime?
