Christmas cash flow secret in June

Behold a cautionary tale:

Perry Marshall’s former affiliate manager Jack Born (the “Walter White” of marketing software) told me a story that anyone who hears it can profit from starting the very next time you have some kind of special sale/promotion going on.

Here goes:

Jack was telling me about his last month as Perry’s affiliate manager — which was a December. He also said that, like a lot of businesses, December is usually a down month over there. But, all the bills, payroll, shopping cart software invoices, etc still needed to be paid to keep the lights on make sure the employees had stuffed stockings.

Jack’s idea?

Sell a high ticket product via webinar with a deadline before Christmas.

(December 22nd in this case.)

Anyway, when they ran the webinar they got one or two sales, and then no sales the next day and then no sales the next day. Definitely not the way he wanted to send people off to Christmas.

His solution?

He told his told the team to send 3 emails the last day. Apparently, this was something that normally, Perry would be reluctant to do. But Jack insisted they do it and the elves went to work.

The result:

$54,000 in sales total.

With $46,000 of those sales on the *last* day.

Thus the power of a deadline a few emails.

This happens all the time and is one of that most consistent reliable ways to bring in fast cash flow you’ll ever see. Reason why is, that deadline because it forces people to make a decision. It’ funny because people are always looking for bright shiny objects. But it’s the dull unpolished objects — like using deadlines — that make the cash register ring.

Enter Jack’s “Deadline Funnel” product.

It lets you automate your deadlines across multiple list segments so they are all congruent and come down for the right people at the right time. It also works over someone’s different devices (using Jack’s proprietary method) so even if, for example, they opt in on their phone, the deadlines will still be intact if they click the link on their iPad or desktop, etc.

Even more:

Jack’s giving my list a discount and a free trial on it.

That is, if you get your free trial by the *deadline*, of course.

(Tonight at midnight.)
