Muppet of the month
Published: Sun, 05/24/15
across the pond Tim Goodwin told me about a new word I shalt use
and abuse at least once per month.
The word?
"Muppet"
In the UK it's an insult that means someone who's foolish and
incompetent (and a bit useless, to boot).
I likey.
Like this bloke, who said:
(Referring to my friend Ray Higdon's "3-Minute Expert" product)
"And he can't afford to get a proper mobile page?
Which does not say much about him knowing
what is going on in the market ...
I am sick of amateurs …"
Ooh.
Now, in his defense:
If you use an Android it might come up blank.
(For whatever reason, life is rough, eh?)
But, if you gird up thy loins and use all your might to press the
"request as desktop" option in your phone browser (or simply use a
desktop computer), it comes up just fine.
Now, back to the muppet show.
Here's the way I see it:
Anyone who sees an offer like ours (which is just ridiculously
generous and valuable) who can't summon the strength to (gasp!)
order on a desktop computer … or (and I know I'm asking a lot
here) use the "request as desktop site" on their phone's browser…
and can only complain about it instead... is like the guy who sees a
a chest full of solid gold coins on sale for a few bucks, but then
moans to everyone about the lid being rusty and a little hard to
open instead of using a crowbar.
Kinda muppet-ish.
(Not his being annoyed, but his complaining attitude towards it.)
And, ironically, kinda amateurish, too.
So anyway, let's hear it for May's Muppet of the month winner.
His prize?
A free opt-out from my list.
Speaking of Ray's offer:
My business partners and I are handing buyers so much raw value in
bonuses (at least 20x's what the product costs — including my best
copywriting and email training, as well as over 100 hours of
traffic, list building, and other online training, it's loco.
We even have this standing offer:
If you can find another affiliate of Ray's product that offers more
value than us in bonuses, we'll buy you a copy of Ray's product out
of our own pockets, and you can still keep all our bonuses.
Tis a bold offer.
And, worth checking out.
(Even if you think the non-mobile friendly page is the devil.)
