elBenbo's guide to making people addicted to your Facebook group
Published: Tue, 06/26/18
In other words, you can charge people to have access, instead of having to do the lame thing where they buy something of yours and you give them access as a bonus (or however people get around the rules to do it now).
Well, guess what?
Once upon a time, I had what I believe to be one of the most rabidly engaged groups on the platform in the marketing niche, which:
* Made me lots of sales.
* Made certain of the members lots of sales.
* Was sometimes copied by others (who could never do it successfully, since they didn’t have all the variables in place, or understand the thinking behind it)
* Generated “sales pitches” from people to allow them inside (especially from people who got banned)
* Was so addictive people literally got angry at me when I closed it (people still passive aggressively bring it up sometimes, which is always amusing)
* Was often mocked, laughed at, awed at, angered at (I would pick fights with other groups, which was fun), loved at, and, yes, even cursed at. This is even though I only had about 2500 people in there towards the end before I killed it off (I wanted it down to 1000 or less).
It was just a very unique place.
At least, from what others told me who are in lots of other groups.
(I am in very few, so can’t say from personal experience.)
And you know what?
It was all by design, and can easily be duplicated by anyone with a similar personality as me.
But that was my old group.
Now, fast forward to today:
My current group (elBenbo’s Abyss — current in “secret” mode, as Immigration is currently closed) is a totally different kind of animal. But, it still accomplishes everything I want it to, gets lots of engagement, and is doing what it's intended for.
And, because of that, one of my friends recently asked me:
“How would you suggest I run my own facebook group?
Purpose is to grow my brand,
I’m on full on cult of personality mode.”
My answer?
Is found starting on page 12 of the July “Email Players” issue.
And, I suspect the info can make anyone who wants to monetize their flakebook group quite a few dineros.
But time is short, and the deadline to get this issue is fast approaching.
