It’s a method that works for all kinds of situations, too.
Such as for men who want to get a woman to date them.
(Or married men afraid of losing a cold, indifferent wife with one foot out the door…)
Or for freelancers who screw up so badly a client wants nothing to do with them.
Or for spurned JV partners who want to salvage a deal.
