If someone casts you as the villain, you might as well play the part well

“When you sail on a boat fit for a Bond villain, sometimes you need to play the part, right?”

— Jordan Belfort
“The Wolf Of Wall Street”

I used to regularly do a series of teachings on my (no longer running) podcast called:

“The Email Players rules”

These are maxims, philosophies, and rules by which I live my life (business and personal) to have more success, contentment, and peace. Some I invented, some I heard elsewhere, and others are common sayings.

And, one of the more popular rules was:

“If you’re going to be cast as the villain
you might as well play the part well.”

For example:

Back during the last election, Donald Trump was interviewed about a magazine cover calling him:

“Hater In Chief”

Trump was then asked why he'd bother talking to Esquire knowing they'd hammer him.

Trump’s response?

Well, he didn’t dispute the cover. He didn’t try to spin his away around it or deny it, either. In fact, he didn’t even so much as disagree with its premise. Instead, he said, yes, he IS angry… and that that was probably an accurate description.

Contrast that to what most other politicians would do:

Back track.

Deny they are angry while trying to suddenly act peaceful.

And, weasel their way around what they said, desperately looking to their PR people and advisors to help spin it the next day somehow.

The point?

This not backing down from the finger-pointing, accusations, and insinuations of the mush cookies and fluffpreneur types mindset is partly what my “Persuasion Secrets Of The World’s Most Charismatic & Influential Villains” book instills in peoples' minds and attitudes.

You know how many times elBenbo has been attacked, trolled, and vilified?

Too many to count.

When that happens I just keep doing MORE of whatever caused the attack.

The result?

In business, it's more sales.

More amusement (mine and anyone watching).

And, more peace of mind.

Think long and hard on this, my little droogie.

How you react to negativity can change everything for you.
