Why Agora Financial will rue the day they heard elBenbo’s name

True story:

At AWAI’s Copywriting Bootcamp & Job Fair a couple years ago (shockingly — they have me coming back again this year… and I may have an informal Masterless Mindless in Delray Beach, FL that weekend, details forthcoming…), I got to talking to several copywriters who work for the $200+ million dollar (or whatever they pull in, it may be more than that nowadays for all I know…) Agora Financial.

Agora is, hands down, amongst the best in the game.

They hire the best copywriters.

They have the best funnels.

And, they consult the best marketing minds on the planet.

The people who run that company are nothing short of geniuses (I have met many of their writers and managers — it’s crazy the things they know and pioneer there.) If you want a world class education (free) in marketing and copywriting, simply get on their many lists and take notes.

But, you know what?

I don’t think the feeling is mutual.

And certainly not much longer.

Why?

Because their copywriters work harder than any other copywriters I have ever seen. The amount of research they put into a single promotion makes my blood itch. There are many reasons their writers are the best — one of which is they outwork and out-sweat their competition.

They have piles and piles of data, controls, and info to sift through.

And then, they have to do it again soon after on their *next* promo.

Anyway, at that 2016 AWAI bootcamp I got to telling several of their writers how it was my goal to liberate them from such a hellish existence — and work just 12 minutes per day, instead of 12 hours per day. And, make a lot more mooney to boot over the long run.

One of them even said:

“And just how, pray tell,
are you going to pull that off, elBenbo?”


(Those may not have been her exact words, but you get the gist…)

“Oh ye of little faith,” I retorted. “I’m doing this program with AWAI called ‘The 10-Minute Workday’ — which lets you put all that raw copywriting talent into selling your own products instead of anyone else’s…”

She was skeptical, of course.

They all were.

But, I told them each it was my goal to storm the evil freelancing castle dungeon they are chained up in and rescue them from their wicked captors.

And so it is.
