Proof you should ignore copywriting gurus on Facebook

Here’s what happened:
A guy asked the group about where they can learn about writing fun, polarizing, and “edutainment” emails from other than from Yours Crotchety.
To which said guru said he doesn’t get off on those types of emails.
And, feels prospects don’t want a doctor joking around, etc.
All of which I found rather amusing.
Why?
Because I have always taught people to modulate everything I teach to their market first. Market first, tactics second. For example, we didn’t convert almost 50% of our list in weight loss by joking around about the problem, or going all “Ben Settle” on them.
No, I adapted all the copy to the market.
Not just the emails, but also the sales letters, too.
It was always all about the market.
Anyway, it was a timely example, because my Copy Slacker course (which is on sale for $100.00 off until tomorrow night) spends a lot of time on how to research and approach your copy from a “market first” position. In fact, it even includes several sales letter analysis videos — where you can see how I approached different markets with more serious tones (like weight loss, parents looking for college funding for their kids, etc) as far as tone and style, all modulated to the people in it.
The point?
If you want to learn how I do it, ignore these gurus who can’t even be bothered to get all the facts first before nattering on about what I do, and learn from the source.
Speaking of which:
Copy Slacker is not only on sale for $100 off until Friday at midnight (EST), but it also includes these rare and valuable bonuses:
1. “From Zero To $100,000 In 30-Seconds”
Which reveals a secret I taught a client used to nab $100k in sales in a month (December) where he usually gets $0 or maybe one sale.
2. “Success Secrets Of An Unrepentant I-Hole”
I recently shot this 53-minute video for a customer’s private Facebook group revealing some of my best persuasion and marketing ideas I have learned from everyone from extremely persuasive politicians, successful pickup artists, and one the single most popular consignment shop in Manhattan.
