I'll take the Pepsi challenge with these other "success" books any day

Turns out I don't have to pound my own chest like King Kong about how my Villains book can grant a man everything from a great lifestyle or business to even a wife.

“Email Players” subscriber Alex Mullan does it for me today:

Let’s start with the good stuff. Over the past 16 months, and the first 4 months of 2018 in particular I have...

- Successfully pivoted out of online fitness and into copywriting (I’m a writer mate…ain’t no meathead).

- Landed two sturdy retainer clients (approx 20 emails/month) that pay more than I need each month.

- Figured out where I fucked up in my previous relationships, how to fix it, how to become better, and am now engaged as of one week ago.

- Built the freedom and ability to travel wherever, whenever without really having to worry about money (it’s still a consideration, but rarely a make or break factor, and at this rate it won’t even be that by years end).

- Begun building up a suite of my own offers that will render any need for client work obsolete by end of the year.

- Building deeper + stronger relationships with carefully selected people, none of which are even close to toxic or deleterious (4 quarters vs 100 pennies principle, except I’m starting to like 2 50-cent pieces vs 100 pennies more and more).

- Being viewed as a leader by people 5+ years my senior (this has been really fugking weird, and a recent realization that I’m still adjusting to).

- Having a significant + positive impact on people’s lives without doing much more than being myself (once this scales with time + experience, I’m struggling to imagine what my own life will look like, and the impact/power I’ll have).

- As a general rule, any mission I set my mind to becomes complete, I get what I want, and things across all aspects of my life are practically sliding into place of their own accord.

- Through the first quarter of 2018, I’m on track to clear six-figures by years end (and that’s assuming no further growth, and simply maintaining where I’m at right now…which is an unlikely story). Not too shabby for having quit my job at Starbucks two years and one week ago.

Alright, enough bragging and ruminating on the good in my life.

Your Villains book as played a large role in this metamorphosis, and I’d be remiss not to share that with you.

I bought the Villains book in Dec 2016 (or whenever you did a promo on it w/ “lost” podcast episodes) whilst I had made the decision to isolate myself in Greece to figure my shit out for 3 months.

I alternated between reading three books 1) Villains 2) The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck (Mark Manson), and 3) Ego Is The Enemy (Ryan Holiday) over and over and over. I truly believe that reshaped my mindset and way of operating in ways I cannot fully comprehend.

I picked up Villains again recently (first time in many moons) and started reading it again. It blew my mind when I realized that with each chapter I read, it was clear that the actions (and ensuing results) you talked about describe the majority of my life these days.

Sure, reminders are mandatory and there’s always work to do to keep things in check…but it was nutty to realize that all these things I’d been subconsciously working on for so long have been sinking in, and I believe that explains A LOT of the absurd growth and development that’s happened to me/in my life this year.

Developments of which I credit much to simply reading your Villains book on loop for months, soaking up your podcast, poring through Email Players, being proactive, and not being afraid to fuck up.

Having now written all this out, I’m seeing a parallel between the impact you’ve had through teaching me email/copy and the impact I’m having on the few fitness clients I still work with.

Business/Fitness might be the vehicle we use to convey lessons, but the real impact runs deep into the blood, thus affecting the life itself of the people in our world.

That’s a neat realization, and a surefire sign that things are moving on the right trajectory.

All this to say, like it or not, I’m going to make my way to your Oregon hidey-hole one of these days (it’s not at all far from where I live in Vancouver, Canada) and share a few bottles of wine with you.

Because there’s no doubt that had I not discovered your world, your teachings...my life would not be what it is today, and I’m pretty damn happy with where it’s at, and where it’s headed.

And that’s worth celebrating.

Of all the people who have helped me get here, you’re the only one that I haven’t been able to meet and thank in person. So, that’s gotta change.

Alright, I think that’s enough soft stuff for now.

Thank you.

Do with this what you will.

That’s a lot of Value from a short book.

(And newsletter/podcast)

And, going by the 90+ Amazon reviews, it’s safe to say he ain’t the only one who’s life has completely changed from reading and (of course) *applying* the info.
