elBenbo's "bloody" content writer contest
Published: Sat, 05/05/18
What I am most proud of in these books are the intros.
Six of the seven books have incredible intros.
Including, from the great A-list copywriter Bob Bly (book one), Oklahoma's #1 rare & used book dealer Greg Perry (book three), "Ten Minute Workday" customer Kate Stelmaszek (book four), "Email Players" subscriber Stefanie Arroyo (book five), my podcast announcer dame & "Email Players" subscriber Nicole English (book six), and CopyBlogger editor Robert Bruce (the man who persuaded me to write the novels in the first place — who penned book seven's intro).
But, I don’t have one for book two.
(Vampire Apocalypse).
Anyway, I’d like to have a worthy intro written for it from someone who has read it (and all the books so far published), who likes the characters (especially Fezziwig the vampire from book 2) and the Enoch Wars world, and who can write great prose.
So, I decided to have a contest.
To try to get the best intro possible, I am offering the following to the person who writes the best intro for book 2 -- "Vampire Apocalypse".
* Plug you in one of my daily emails as a content writer, with your contact info.
Think this can’t potentially lead to great business?
I can't make any promises.
But, when I held auditions for my podcast announcer dame, I got lots of auditions. And, one of them I didn’t bring on as an announcer ended up being someone I’ve been hiring (the ever-talented Kia Arian) to do graphic design for me (and who I have also told my audience about multiple times). And just mentioning content writer Terri Sassone on a webinar to my 10-Minute Workday buyers last year resulted in her getting work as a writer. Not to mention the few copywriters I've done this for in the past who were overrun with clients the day I plugged their services.
All right, so that’s the deal.
But, don’t bother doing this if you haven’t read the books and aren’t a fan of them.
(It'll be very obvious if someone has read them or not.)
And, don't just "wing" it and waste either of our time.
Otherwise, if you are a true fan of the books, write your intro for book 2 and send it to ben@bensettle.com before midnight (PST) Sunday, May 13th. If you win, you get your righteous name mortalized in book 2 of my Enoch Wars series, and plugged to my entire email list as a content writer.
Worst case?
You spend a bunch of time writing the intro, you don't win, and made yourself a better writer.
You win, either way.
