Gew-rew fanboys will be horrified by the contents of this email

“Email Players” subscriber Josh Eaton (who sells in the competitive golf niche) profits like a politicians taking kickbacks (but in an ethical way…) proves yet again MORE is better when it comes to email:

(Much to the horror of gew-rew fanboys chanting the opposite)

Ben -- I've been in the golf instruction niche for about 9 years. I constantly pushed to increase email frequency until we got to 1 per day. And with every extra day, we made more money.

But I then did all I could to avoid sending 2 emails in a day. That was too much. That would push them over the edge, I thought.

Then I read where you said golfers are so fanatical it's perfectly fine to send more than 1 per day.

Since all the other advice I've taken from you worked, I figured I'd give it a shot.

We made more sales from that extra email than we made from any other email in the past 6 months. In fact, it was double the 2nd best in that period.

We also had more unsubscribes, which didn't surprise me. But it was WAY more than normal. From about 15-20 to over 140!

I wasn't too worried because, as you say, probably none of those folks would ever buy anyway. But just to be sure we weren't turning off people whom maybe we hadn't developed a real strong relationship with yet...

We analyzed the data and found:

* Only 15 of the 142 (11%) were people in their first 60 days on our list. 80% of our sales come from that group, and we didn't scare many of them off.

* 32% were people that had already purchased our main membership product and canceled their subscription. These folks were probably not a good fit in the first place.

So, there you have it... actual data that backs up what you're saying.

And I'm sure when we send our next extra email(s), the unsubs will be way lower because we've cleaned up so many of these poor matches.

Thanks for the confidence to easily make a few thousand bucks more (so far!) and to pay for our next 4 years of Email Players newsletters!
