“Email Players” subscriber, writer for Return of Kings, and world traveling playboy Kyle Trouble, shows how to sell continuity without even needing a sales letter:

(Just email)

I took that advice to make them all paid - first put it up on Podbean, but then when they were useless twats, I moved it to my own membership software which gave me a lot more flexibility, and integrated a few things I liked from the latest EP issue as well.

Added in a few bonuses that expire at end of January (a newsletter detailing my cost of living expenses), and I’m making new sales & subs every time I push send, plus a lot of feedback about people enjoying the tone of the emails.

And this is just by sending people to a registration page with a credit card form, I haven’t even put up an actual sales page with copy yet.

It’s a beautiful thing to make sales before slaving over a sales page.

Another short case study:

Last week of December I decided to do a special sale on some of my products throughout the week. Three of which had no sales letter whatsoever.

The result?

Almost $20k in sales (admittedly to a super responsive list — my buyers).

But, just the other week I inserted a paragraph about my soon-to-be-released “Email Client Machine” product at the bottom of an email that has zilcho to do with freelancing, and no sales letter. Just a shopping cart.

The result?

Over $10k in sales.

Yes, I have a lot going for that (an offer people want at a discount, 16 years of built-up trust in me and my brand, customers who benefited from other products I’ve sold, etc, those sales aren’t made out of thin air), but it’s an example of how if you do email the way I show you in my “Email Players” newsletter each month, the emails do the heavy lifting for you. Yes, you should have a sales page eventually (you’re leaving many sales on the table if you don’t). But, no need to let a lack of a sales page stop you from making sales right away.
