How to become famous

“Ip Man”
It’s about a guy named Ip Man, who was not only Bruce Lee’s original Sifu, but one of history’s greatest and most famous martial artists.
Ip Man lived in Foshan, China which was renown for its kung fu schools.
In fact, probably hundreds of Sifus opened schools there to cash in on the demand. Of course, everyone wanted to prove “their” kung fu was the best and were always challenging each other to fights. Eventually, one particularly violent kung fu guy comes to town publicly challenging and beating the other Sifus with ease. Eventually, he hears about Ip Man and insists they fight to prove his “style” is best.
Ip Man’s reply?
(As he prepares to fight)
“It’s not about style,
it’s about you”
After which Ip Man hands the guy a thorough ass whoopin’.

For example, I once saw some copywriting fanboys debate on flakebook whether the email “style” I use is better than some other email guys’ ways. And, they all missed the point. Because yes, while some styles are better than others (like I said yesterday, I believe mine to be the best, why so serious?), it’s like Ip Man said to the guy obsessed with his fighting style:
“It’s not about style,
it’s about you”
Yes, my little fledgling.
It’s FIRST about your personality, your stories, your words, and your ideas.
Then it’s about style.
Once you “get” that, wallets open up.
Customers come to you.
And, lives are changed.
